Became a part of Indian culture in 1960’s. since then have become a very common crafts item, jewelry piece, and image on home décor items. Made from a wooden/Metal hoop, usually willow, onto which a net or web is woven with natural fibers like cotton etc. Typically have feathers and beads hanging from the hoop as well.
